UK online gambling tax bill in the House of Lords

The British government’s initiative to compel online gambling operators accessing the British punter to take out secondary licensing and pay UK taxes moves another step forward today (January 14) with a reading in the House of Lords.

The Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill is to be examined in detail, but is still firmly on track for implementation around the end of the year.
