Ultraplay drops its outlaws eSports team

News on 2 Sep 2017

Bulgarian eSports betting company Ultraplay has announced that it has discontinued its investment and support for the Outlaws eSports competition team, although the Outlaws eSports Academy will continue to operate.

The company did not give a reason for its decision to drop the Outlaws, triggering speculation that it may be associated with the recent row over the head-hunting of contracted Outlaw star player Tsvetelin ‘CeRq’ Mangalski by rival NRG Sports.

Ultraplay reportedly viewed Mangalski’s departure as not only disloyal, but a breach of his contract and restraints on competing for rivals within it.

Despite complaints to the Esports Integrity CVommission, the Electronic Sports League and NRG it seems that Ultraplay remained unhappy with the situation, which, speculators surmise, could have led to the Outlaw team sacking.
