English Premier League football club Manchester City has expanded its presence in Asia with Philippine-based gaming firm Kai-Fa Group-owned online operation K8.com as its regional betting partner following a multi-year deal.

K8.com will enjoy advertising and branding opportunities at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester for home matches along with other promotional activities.

“City has a growing and passionate fanbase in Asia and our commercial profile in the region continues to strengthen, supported by offices in Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo,” Damian Willoughby, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at City Football Group, said. “This partnership will allow City fans in Asia to interact with the Club in a new and exciting way and we’re looking forward to working together.”

“This partnership is the perfect platform to promote our brand,” added Michael McQuade for K8.com. “We are looking forward to being the new partner of Manchester City and wish the Club all the success for the upcoming 2017/18 season.”

Dutch professional football club AFC Ajax has also agreed a sponsorship partnership with an Asian-facing operator, this with KB88 who has been named the football club’s Official Asian Betting Partner for the next two seasons.

AFC Ajax look forward to leveraging KB88’s Asian presence saying the Club is constantly looking for opportunities to reach and grow its Asian fan-base further.
