AsianLogic is to generate fantasy football interest and business in Asia following a deal with fantasy sports pools betting provider Totel Football.

TotelFootball offers daily, weekly and season long betting competitions across all main European competitions, and now has ambitions in the Asian market through the agreement with AsianLogic.

Keith McDonnell, business development director of TotelFootball, said the deal represents an opportunity for his company to tap into the significant potential which the Asian market offers.

“In AsianLogic we have the ideal partner to make the product work for both consumers and operators alike in the region. Success in developing the Asian business will see the pools grow enormously,” he said.

Fantasy football is an interactive competition in which users manage professional football players in competition with others as virtual general managers of a fantasy football team. The concept was developed in the United States in 1962 and has since spread globally, thanks to the internet and mobile technology.
