Betsson gearing up for UK online gambling drive

Swedish gambling group Betsson is offering advertising agencies the opportunity to handle its large international advertising account as it prepares for a major push into the United Kingdom market, reports the marketing publication Campaign Live.

“The company is looking for a London hub to work across key markets after recently appointing Omnicom’s Rocket to its seven-figure media planning and buying account,” Campaign Live reports.

Betsson owns the Betsafe brand, which is expected to invest heavily in TV advertising as part of the UK marketing drive.

Apparently Betsafe’s global agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky Scandinavia is ineligible due to a client conflict after winning the Betstars account in February this year.
