Betsson Group has appointed Fredric Lundén in the newly created role of vice president governance, risk and compliance, effective September 1, 2017.

The appointment strengthens Betsson’s executive management team enabling the group to identify and move on ethical opportunities related to the complexities of entering burgeoning and newly regulated markets.

Most recently, Lundén served as head of group compliance at Swedish banking institution SEB. He also has ties with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

In addition, Petra Zackrisson will form part of Group management as vice president corporate development. She has held a business development role on the management of Betsson Malta since 2013.

“The development of the gaming industry means great opportunities for Betsson,” Ulrik Bengtsson, chief executive officer and president of Betsson AB, said.

“The ability to navigate correctly in a rapidly changing regulatory environment will be a competitive advantage, both for our existing operations and for our acquisition strategy.

“Fredric and Petra completes Betsson’s Group management and I look forward to working together with them in making Betsson even more successful,”
