Bill planned to transfer regulatory function away from PAGCOR

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) is facing a challenge as House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas intends filing a bill which would transfer PAGCOR’s regulatory and licensing function to Congress.

“PAGCOR is the sole authority that grants licenses, authorizes them, regulates them, and it’s also a gambling operator. We have to remove all of those and give back to Congress the power to regulate all of these,” Fariñas told morning news programme, ANC’s Headstart.
