Bwin’s Russian venture uses social media marketing to good effect

GVC’s Bwin.ru venture into the Russian sports betting market in partnership with Digital Betting has reportedly been enjoying success since launch last November, and a large part of that has been the clever use of social media marketing.

In a media interview this week Digital Betting CEO Dmitry Sergeyev revealed that the partnership had engaged the services of three Russian celebrities from diverse entertainment sectors, Aleksandr Revva, Olga Seryabkina and Olga Buzova, to use their social media channels to promote Bwin.ru.

The campaign has apparently been very successful, boosting player registrations by up to 400 percent.
