Little hope for latest online gambling bill in Hawaii

News on 6 Mar 2013

The state of Hawaii saw yet another attempt at legalising online gambling launched on January 18 this year but recent reports indicate that the measure is unlikely to succeed and has made little progress.

Sources in the Hawaii Senate told the authoritative poker publication Card Player this week that whilst the bill had not been officially killed off, it was not going anywhere

Hawaii is one of only two US states without legalised gambling of any kind, Card Player reports.

“A public hearing for the legislation was scheduled last month, but it was removed from the schedule shortly thereafter,” Card Player notes.
