Live Campaign reports that Betfair is on the hunt for a new advertising agency and is holding “chemistry meetings” with interested parties.
The betting exchange’s current agency Albion will reportedly not be pitching for the account but will continue to work with the firm on a project basis.
Matt Booth, Head of UK Marketing, Betfair, said:  “We have mutually agreed to look at some other creative options working on a specific brief for the start of the football season.”
In related news, bookmaking firm Ladbrokes has contacted a number of advertising agencies as it also holds a review of its digital and direct marketing activity.
Ladbrokes has used various agencies in the past including Play London, Archibald Ingall Stretton, Gyro International and M&C Saatchi.  The bookmaker spent GBP 5 million on advertising activity surrounding the Soccer World Cup last year which included a TV and press campaign featuring ex-footballers Ian Wright and Chris Kamara.
