Microgame acquire Active Games

Leading Italian provider Microgame has acquired Active Games from Intent Ventures for an undisclosed consideration.

The B2B gaming services provider, which was founded in 2011, offers a turnkey modular service in which customers can choose the services they want, whether it be one game or a full white label solution for the Italian market in the poker, bingo, casino games, betting exchange and skill games verticals.

Marco Castaldo, chief executive officer of Microgame Group and now, chief executive officer of Active Games, said: “We are very pleased with this transaction which strengthens our leadership position in Italy. Active is a company with a great knowledge of the market and an excellent sales team. We are convinced that this transaction will bring great benefits to the market and especially to the players, who will enjoy greater liquidity on the Active Games Networks as well as more choice of content.”

Intent Ventures is a privately-owned investment partnership founded by Carlo Gualandri, Carlo D’Acunto and Fausto Gimondi – founding partners of Gioco Digitale Spa, former bwin executive and co-founder of Real Fun Games – Andrea Gaudenzi, and chief executive officer of Giochi24 and Active Games -Paolo Di Feo.
