New chief of Singapore gambling regulator

News on 30 Nov 2013

The appointment in June last year of Singapore police officer Lau Peet Meng (38) as CEO of the nation’s Casino Regulatory Authority has been hailed as a success by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which this week paid tribute to his contributions in enhancing the efficiency and credibility of the regulatory body through improved enforcement, investigative and research capabilities.

The chief regulator leaves at the end of the year to return to his duties as director of operations in the Singapore Police, and will hand over to new incumbent Jerry See (45) early in January 2014.

See is currently chief executive of the Home Team Academy in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
