Online casino shines in Delaware

News on 20 Sep 2016

The legalised online gambling market in the US state of Delaware delivered good results in August, according to figures just out from the regulator.

Online casino gaming revenue rose 54 percent year-on-year to $244,387, although it should be noted that overall online gambling revenues in the state were lower than the sterling performance achieved in June and July this year (respectively $304,000 and $281,000).

August was a weak month for online poker in Delaware, delivering the poorest performance since February 2016 at just $29,155 in rake and fees, a decline year-on-year of 7 percent.

Online slots were the star performers in the online casino vertical during August, accounting for the biggest slice of the revenue at $158,874.
