Paddy Power debuts Smart TV App

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has announced the launch of its Paddy Power Smart TV Application enabling customers to browse and place available bets using their TV remote control.

The application, developed in collaboration with multi-platform digital media solution provider Miomni, provides registered users with betting odds updated in real time, depositing capabilities and access to their account details and betting history.

Future innovation will allow for a more comprehensive range of betting types that will include horse racing, soccer, rugby, cricket, basketball, American football, cricket, tennis, golf, snooker, darts as well as social and political events.

Along with ante-post betting, the application will provide in a second iteration ‘In Play” betting enabling users to modify and place new bets whilst an event is in progress.

The application is currently available via the Yahoo Smart TV Widget on Samsung, LG, Sony and (US) Smart TVs in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
