New partnership to enhance live streaming capacity at live dealer casinos

Online gambling solutions specialist Wirex has partnered with real-time data streaming firm Weswit to enhance live dealer casino action through the use of advanced Lightstreamer server technology.

Lightstreamer is Weswit’s flagship product, and presents a scalable solution for pushing live data over WebSockets and other web protocols, handling millions of users.

The company has incorporated the Lightstreamer technology for in-game live data delivery on a specific one-on-one variant of blackjack, several real-time monitoring systems, as well as the entire player and croupier chat systems.

Wirex offers live casino, RNG casino, and sports betting platforms, all of which are easy to integrate. The company has offices in Italy and Malta and works with a number of significant internal customers including Sportingbet, PKR, Playbet, and Mybet.

Wirex has deployed Lightstreamer for its successful live dealer online integration with Portomaso, the Maltese land-based casino.

“Live casino platforms must handle huge volumes of frequently updated data to keep the user interface responsive and offer players a pervasive and truly ‘live’ gaming experience,” said Alessandro Negro, CTO at Wirex.

“The overall complexities are drastically higher compared to a standard and even large-sized RNG online casino. Lightstreamer simplified the overall software architecture for real-time data transfers, and allowed us to release a robust iGaming application in a short space of time, with everything working perfectly from the beginning.”

The collaboration between the two companies is set to expand, says Negro

“We are working with Weswit to integrate Lightstreamer on another online project for an Italian land-based casino, while we keep exploring its usage for other scenarios, including in-running betting platforms,” he said, adding that Lightstreamer has the capability to stream real-time data and messaging across multiple channels and apps, including HTML5, Android, iPhone, iPad, and other platforms.

Other gambling firms using the Lightstreamer server technology include City Index and Bwin.Party, which recently chose Lightstreamer for its online poker, casino and bingo products.

“iGaming platforms need a high level of interactivity and require dramatic performance in bi-directional data push in order to guarantee an enjoyable gaming experience,” said Alessandro Alinone, co-CEO and CTO at Weswit. “Lightstreamer can enhance any kind of gaming platform with a highly scalable real-time server and a rich set of client APIs.”
