JackpotCity Casino Review
JackpotCity has been online since 1998. Very few casino brands can match that history, and the site still looks and feels like a large established operation rather than a short-lived white-label project. It now offers 1,500+ games, regional versions for different markets and a familiar mix of slots, jackpots, table games and live casino.
Age alone isn’t a verdict. JackpotCity’s current international terms identify Baytree Interactive Ltd and Kahnawake licence 00892, while its Ontario version operates separately under local regulation. The brand is also eCOGRA certified. Those are meaningful positives, but the withdrawal and bonus rules contain several clauses that deserve careful reading.

Welcome offer and exclusive bonus
At the time of writing, JackpotCity uses a tiered welcome system that rewards the first four deposits. We list only the first-deposit stage in the Bonus tab. Reviewed Casinos has an exclusive version with an enhanced maximum, so that offer remains the one shown on this review.
The standard terms require 35 times wagering on bonus funds. Slots generally contribute in full, but contributions drop sharply for roulette, blackjack and video poker, while baccarat, craps, Sic Bo, progressive jackpots and several other games contribute nothing. There is also a maximum bet while a bonus is active.
The more serious restriction is the potential cashout cap. After the welcome-bonus wagering is completed, management may limit the withdrawal to six times the first deposit and remove the remaining balance. Progressive-jackpot wins are exempt. That clause makes the bonus less attractive than its headline suggests. High wagering is only part of the story.
Games and providers
The old review described JackpotCity as a Microgaming casino with roughly 500 games. That picture is outdated. Microgaming’s content business became part of Games Global, and the present lobby also names Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Blueprint Gaming and OnAir Entertainment among its leading suppliers. The Ontario version adds Playtech to its regional selection.
There are 1,500+ games on the international site. Slots remain the centre of gravity, including classic titles, modern video slots, Megaways games and progressive jackpots. Mega Moolah and other familiar network jackpots still give the casino some continuity with its earlier identity.
Table players get blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and specialist games. The live casino is open around the clock and uses streamed dealers for the standard table categories. It’s a broad lobby now. Players who remember the downloadable Microgaming client will find a very different product.
Banking and withdrawals
Payment availability varies by country. The public international banking page highlights iDebit, Skrill, Klarna, Neteller and Interac, while cards and paysafecard appear elsewhere on the site. Ontario adds methods such as American Express and Apple Pay. The cashier remains the final source for eligibility, limits and whether a method supports withdrawals.
The public banking page doesn’t provide a complete table of deposit and withdrawal minimums, maximums, fees and delivery times. That is frustrating. A player should be able to confirm the practical banking terms before registration rather than assemble them from several pages or open an account to view the cashier.
International withdrawals enter a reversible pending period of up to 24 hours, with no processing over weekends. Requests may take longer during verification. The terms allow a €4,000 weekly payout schedule when a withdrawal is at least five times larger than lifetime deposits across the group, although progressive wins are excluded and management describes the clause as discretionary. A separate daily maximum also applies.
Ontario is different: its official regional page says the old reversal period has been removed and funds are released once approved. That distinction matters. Players should read the terms for the version they are actually using rather than treating a Canadian or Ontario estimate as universal.
Verification and account rules
JackpotCity may request verification during registration or before a financial transaction. Documents can include government-issued photo ID, proof of address no older than six months and proof that the player owns the payment method. Identity verification is required once single or cumulative transactions reach the published threshold.
Failure to provide legitimate KYC documents may result in account closure. That is normal. More unusual is the breadth of some related clauses: the casino can suspend an account while checks are pending, ask about source of funds and reverse an uncompleted withdrawal when a player doesn’t respond to its requirements.
Dormant accounts also need attention. After prolonged inactivity, the terms allow a monthly administration fee and eventually forfeiture of the remaining balance. Anyone taking a long break should withdraw cleared funds first or close the account properly.
Licensing and player protection
The international site is operated by Baytree Interactive Ltd under Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence 00892. A separate Ontario version is operated by Cadtree Limited under provincial regulation. The brand also has a verified Alderney licence for another regional operation. Regulatory coverage therefore depends on the player’s location and the version of JackpotCity serving the account.
eCOGRA certification provides independent testing and an external assurance framework. The current terms also describe a formal complaint process followed by independent alternative dispute resolution and, where necessary, escalation to the appropriate regulator. Players must first obtain a dispute reference number through the casino’s internal process.
Reputation and complaints
JackpotCity’s long history and scale count in its favour, but its complaint record is mixed. Established complaint services show many historic cases, including resolved disputes as well as a meaningful number that remained unresolved. Delayed withdrawals, verification and bonus disagreements recur in the record.
One large independent complaint service says the casino no longer cooperates with its case handlers. Another records an average casino response within several days and a smaller set of resolved cases. We don’t treat either record in isolation, but together they reduce the value of longevity as reassurance. Direct regulatory and ADR routes are especially important here.
There is no basis for calling JackpotCity a rogue operation. There is also no basis for presenting it as uncomplicated. The brand has real licences, a large business behind it and decades of continuity, alongside restrictive terms and inconsistent external complaint engagement.
Support and responsible gambling
Live chat and email support are available around the clock through the help centre. Public phone information is inconsistent across regional pages, so chat is the clearest first contact. Formal complaints must be sent to the designated complaints address rather than ordinary support.
Responsible-gambling tools include deposit limits, self-assessment and self-exclusion. The Ontario version adds cooling-off periods, loss limits and access to recent gaming and transaction history. The international site links to established support organisations and makes clear that gambling is entertainment, not a way to recover losses.
Verdict
JackpotCity remains a substantial casino with an unusually long history, 1,500+ games, strong jackpot coverage, live tables, regional regulation and eCOGRA certification. The Reviewed Casinos exclusive improves the first-deposit maximum, but the bonus still comes with demanding conditions.
The reservations are material: incomplete public banking information, reversible international withdrawals, possible staged payouts, a discretionary bonus cashout cap, dormant-account fees and a mixed complaint record. Read the correct regional terms, verify early and don’t accept the welcome offer without understanding the withdrawal restrictions.
There’s plenty to like in the game lobby. The small print is where the decision belongs.

JackpotCity Casino Player Comments
Won $300 so I made a withdrawal, next day go to check the status of it and I can’t get on my account. The chat people tell me my accounts been closed by management but my withdrawal was still going through. Never got the withdrawal so I kept asking the chat people and finally one tells me the withdrawal went to an outstanding balance on an account that was in my name. I never made any other account or any withdrawal that was outstanding. But they won’t even let me talk to management or anyone who can help me or let me explain my situation. It’s been over a month and I keep trying but I cannot get in any contact with anyone who can help me, just the useless people on the live chat.
I like this site I like the games I’ve won really big a few times once 8000 once 3500 other smaller wins 500, 300, 600.
I have to use etransfer its my only option
What a let down it is at least once a week it will disappear then they want a CA code. Well the bank only gives you half the code so you have to call the bank get the full code. I’ve yet to receive one missing transfer back because then they claimed they had the wrong email yet they sent the message to my email
So I’ve been taking it because I love the site so much but now it’s been 3 days and every transfer has disappeared
I won 2500 and I cashed out. They sent me a message 3 days later said I owed them a cashback money of 1450. With no proof or explanation. They sent me a deposit of 1050 a few days later but they closed my account. I messaged and asked them why they closed my account. Plus I asked for proof why I had 1450 of chargebacks when I used was email transfers. They said they would send me proof and escalated my request but didn’t send nothing. Fricken scammers. So I lost out on 1450, plus all the money I put in all year. All the donations, I put in towards this casino to pass time during this pendemic. Why are casinos like this still allowed to be in business in canada.
Very disappointing. Games jerk, speeds up, slows down, jumps in & out of games in the middle of playing them, this is a regular occurrence the moment you sign up & through out playing the games.
Customer support have no answers wants me to take a picture when it happens. Told them not willing to deposit more money just to take a picture. If they don’t know why it is happening why would seeing a picture help. ( “error occurred, hit ok button) hit ok button then it goes back to game, then it happens again, this can pop up 4 to 5 times in one game. I finally gave up and cancelled my account with them when I got absolutely nowhere with these problems.
After taking several thousand dollars from me, I finally won some, and the tried to withdrawal my funds (over 1600$). And I have hit a brick wall, I cannot get my money back, have given them documents to verify my account, and still nothing. Very disappointed in this online casino. Do not waste your money, as if you do happen to win, good luck claiming your prize
I’ve had Jackpot City for 2 years now I’ve put in just over 26000.00 since then and have only cashed out just over 6000.00 need I say more? They have loyalty points you can earn but reset you to the last level you were at every month which is unfair because it says every 60 days. They give you the option to reverse withdrawal for so long you just end up reversing it and then I have never won doing this ever, so don’t fall for it. All in all I’m pretty fed up with this site and will likely switch to something else.
I’ve been playing a few months now. Had a few wins.. Allways recieve money I withdraw.. Never had an issue.. Also chat team veey friendly and helpful.. I rate 5 stars
Every time I have tried to deposit via Interac e-transfer it does not go thru. Then I have to Trace my deposit, upload proof that they took my money!?! I always get my $$ back…
3-5 days later! so, the option is load MORE $$ via another method, or wait to get $ credited back to bank, and re-deposit it. It’s a huge piss off because otherwise it’s a decent casino. I have won a decent amount (deposit $10.. withdraw $300) I have never won big … but I have also never wagered big. All in all, I do like Jackpotcity, however be warned… unless you want to “save some $for a few days” while its tied up in confirmation and reimbursement.. do not at all ever use the etransfer deposit option!
I’m having the same issue and it’s so frustrating! Had no problems for weeks then all of a sudden every deposit is a problem. Can’t get any real answers from support as to why either. I have had a few bigger wins and no issues with payouts so no idea why all the issues now. Ugh!
My first time playing any online casino was with Jackpot city last week. I deposited $1,000 and after playing, I ended up winning $11,168. I was very excited but a bit apprehensive, as I wasn’t sure if this was legit. I decided to read reviews and my stomach was in knots as I then came to the realization that I may never get my winnings and I have possible just lost $1,000 of my own money because all of the reviews I have read are sooo bad! Well, I won on a Thursday evening and 3 business days later (the following Wednesday morning) there was $9999 deposited into my bank account via etransfer. They said I have an etransfer limit so I will see if I get the remainder of my winnings but I am very pleased! The support chat was very kind and helpful. Due to this smooth transaction I will continue to play with them.
Have been using site for a long time. Deposited monies via Interact on Mar 12/21. Still not credited to account. Live chatted several times and keep getting different excuses and time delays. Finally told Banking Dept does not work weekends so can not resolve until at least 15th. Took my money yet I can not play. They confirmed money was received. Will I ever get the money? Will I be compensated? There is a chance I would have won the last 2 days but now I will never know. Recommend not to deposit money on weekends if they do not work.
I have been playing for around six months now and I wanna couple times and they want it all my documents so I sent them they paid me out after two weeks of $800 and now I want again $500 and they locked me out I talked to live chat and they said I requested to be locked out and I did not request to be locked out and I kept saying I’m sorry all I wanted to do was change my password and they kept saying as per your request you’ve been locked out you cannot pay for one month and I said can I please speak to somebody because I never once did that and they said the manager will tell you the same thing you’ve been blocked out and cannot pay for one month these people are a scam they will not pay you and if you start to win they just lock you out for no reason
I withdrew $1200 on 12/02/21 & have been live chatting every day since. Was told 2 days ago that my winnings have been confiscated because of card/player mismatch. I’ve been using my husband’s debit card since registration in 2018. Rule change in January 2021 means I’m not entitled to winnings. Live chat consultant said I will get a refund for funds deposited within 2-8 days from 1/3/21. It’s back with operations department & they can’t tell me the amount or exactly when I’ll get it. I’m not holding my breath like I did waiting for $1200 I’ll never get. I’ve put in 10x more in than I’ve ever taken out. Seems like there’s always a delay or an excuse when it comes to pay outs. Player beware & read the fine print as rules are prone to change, without notice.
I have submitted all of my identification like requested several times. It is over a month and I still have not received any of my winnings. I even received confirmation that they would be processed this week. When I went on live chat to ask what the delay was I was told my winning were being held again. I feel frustrated and disappointed as of today I the impression I have is that this is just a scam. Hoping I’m wrong as it was fun to think I won something, I shouldn’t be gambling anyway.
I have been waiting 2 weeks for my withdrawal. It is 8500, i chat everyday and get a different answer. At the end of every conversation i get told dont worry you will get your money. Well i am beginning to think that wont happen and i would really like it.
I made a withdrawal of R500 and they said it wil b deposited within 4 business days but its been two weeks already still nothing. The live chat ain’t working, you never get response, yhey don’t respond to their emails.
I won $3000 the end of Dec. I withdrew the money and they said they needed verification of who I was before I was paid out. I sent the info. Still have not been paid out and it has been over a month. I can’t even connect with live chat…it doesn’t work. no way to get in touch with anyone. I spent almost $800 of my own money
Well I signed up because I checked first to make sure they had Keno, which numerous sources said that they did, they even mention keno on their own website. After signing up and depositing $20 I try to search for keno and there is nothing. So I go in to online chat and am first told that I may have to try using different browsers, apparently chrome doesn’t allow you to play keno or something like that. Tried a couple browsers and nothing. Then I was told that it could be due to fake websites. They finally figured out that the game has been removed even though if you search jackpotcity keno you will definitely be led to believe they have several keno games. Now, trying to get my money back was a whole other hassle. First of all if you deposit $40 and decide you don’t wish to play because they don’t have the games they advertised you will be out of luck because no matter what you deposit you can’t get your money back until your balance reaches $50. So I found out that if I deposit more money I will then be able to take my money back. They had to remove the $20 bonus I had received first and after they did that I for some strange reason was no longer able to deposit any money at all. It said it was a bank error but that is not the case. I have a feeling once they found out I was unhappy with being deceived and wanted my money back they did something that wouldn’t allow me to deposit more money so I could then withdrawal it. I was told to contact my bank, after already spending a half hour in live chat trying to get my money back. Not a very good experience with this BS company.
I had 2 separate deposits through etransfer leave my Bank account but not be deposited to my jackpotcity account… now I have been trying to be refunded that money for 6 weeks. I have sent my bank statements, deposit reference numbers and all the details they have asked for. Every Time I try to have it rectified or get an answer it’s a different story. One day it’s 24 hours to have a response then 48, then 7 days then 7 business days and now I am told a minimum of 7 days with not maximum. I have documented all of my chats and promises and when I request to be connected with one of the 5 customer service representatives through chat they are not available, very frustrating and disappointing.
I still had 1 more 100% bonus match got an email to do a deposit so I did and it never honored the match. Contacted online chat and he said nothing he could do. They are on Malta so beware Canadians this one is NOT worth even $20 bucks!
Won 200 on a game last month but wasn’t credited to my account. Chat says I didn’t and referred me to my play history, win wasn’t there. she asked if I had a picture of my win. I should have seen that for the red flag it was. Nice way to say sorry your SOL for not having photo proof. So I thought well a malfunction so I deposited money today to play , never showed up in my account. Chat says wait 4 to 5 hours, that’s not what it says on the banking screen. They tell me they can see my deposit but its “Interacts fault,” you can’t see a deposit until its accepted, I am on the phone with bank and they can see it was accepted as well.So I want my money back, then they say wait 3 business days if not returned chat us up again. I am grateful that I just discovered this site and went very slow has opposed to my normal jumping in with both feet. I am only into them about a grand in a few weeks , I chose to go slow to test the waters so to speak. I won’t be swimming there anymore. On a positive note their demo games play really really well, your always up on those, lots of bonuses and free spins. lol
