Nevada governor greenlights eSports and event betting

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval approved Senate Bill 240 Tuesday green-lighting pari-mutuel betting on eSports and other events such as award ceremonies.

The bill, sponsored by Senator Becky Harris, clarifies the definition of “other events” in Sections 3-7 of existing law governing pari-mutuel wagering on a race or sporting event apply to pari-mutuel wagering on other events.
