Nextpeer in partnership with Cashplay

News on 21 Aug 2013

Online and mobile game monetisation platform Cashplay.co has partnered with multiplayer mobile gaming platform Nextpeer.

The partnership allows Nextpeer’s network of over 1000 iOS and Android game developers and studios to access new revenue streams by integrating cash tournaments into their games.

According to Nextpeer, 2000 games using its multiplayer functionality are currently played by over 12 million users worldwide.

Users will be able to challenge opponents to play for real-money stakes following cashplay.co’s integration which it says is especially suited to skill-based games.  Using its “skills-matching engine” the cashplay.co platform is able to match players with similar abilities, said the company.

“This partnership is a perfect fit for us, as Nextpeer is all about allowing games developers to add social elements to their games and driving up player-engagement levels. There was already a clear demand for this new approach to monetization among its extensive network of game developers, and we know from our own research that there is demand from the players. So it’s great that we’re able to integrate swiftly and expand the reach of head-to-head cash tournaments on mobile games to such a huge audience,” said Jarrod Epps, chief executive officer of cashplay.co.
