The casino is still operated by GBL Solutions N.V., but it now carries an active Curaçao Gaming Authority licence rather than the older master-licence reference previously shown on this page. The official certificate identifies hugocasino.com, company number 155090 and licence OGL/2024/589/0556. That is a meaningful transparency improvement, although Curaçao regulation still offers less established player protection than authorities such as the UK Gambling Commission or Malta Gaming Authority.

The casino’s strongest features remain its unusually large game catalogue, broad international cashier and round-the-clock live chat. The principal reservations are a 45x welcome-bonus wagering requirement, relatively low entry-level withdrawal limits, weekday-only financial processing and demanding verification clauses. The trade-offs remain substantial. Bonus wagering is high, welcome winnings are capped, early withdrawal limits are modest, financial processing is limited to weekdays and KYC rules allow serious consequences if documents are not supplied within the stated period. Hugo is a credible offshore option for game variety and mixed fiat/crypto banking, but it is not one of the most protective or flexible casinos available.
